And Obliviouser...
GOP could use Pelosi torture woes against Obama: that's the title of a piece by Carolyn Lochhead, and a fair summary of it.
Carolyn indeed describes the attempts of the Republicans to use torture and what Nancy Pelosi knew about it to tarnish Obama and his effort for health care reform (spearheaded by Pelosi).
And that's why it's pointless to even read the Chron: either the previous Republican administration used ignominious treatments and shared those tactics with Pelosi; or the previous Republican administration used ignominious treatments and failed to share those with Pelosi. Either way, the Republican administration soiled this country's honor by using torture (and, in an even sicker twist, it was to build up the case for the Iraq war...)
And that's a POLITICAL WINNER for the Republicans, if you read the Chron!
By the same reasoning, if Newt Gingrich wiped his butt with the Stars and Stripes and the Constitution in Pelosi's office, and maybe she's in, maybe she's not, then it would be a MAJOR SCORE for the GOP that could bring down the Obama administration!
